PartyGaming, the famous online casino announced its plans of launching another new game within a period of four to six weeks. The company made public its plan at the time of revealing the first quarter revenues for the year 2006. The online casino has made huge profits with the revenues soaring to over $340 million, a jump of over 54%. PartyGaming will offer Online Backgammon to its players within a few weeks. Online Backgammon is becoming extremely popular within the online gambling community and the online casino wants to cash in on this opportunity.

Martin Weigold, the Finance Director at partyGaming said, “The launch of backgammon... is imminent and should provide an additional revenue stream for the group as well as broaden the appeal of our Party-branded platform”. The online casino also has plans to launch another online casino game in the second half of the year. The officials however were tight-lipped about the online casino’s future plans. On being asked about the other game, Mr. Weigold said, “This is going to be a more casino style game," with customers playing against the house rather than each other”.

PartyGaming has done excellent business in the previous quarter. The online casino had a record number of new sign-ups for online poker during the last three months. It had 263,254 new users signing up in this quarter compared to 214,108 last year. A staggering 39% of the total new sign-ups were from outside the US which is a good sign for the online casino.

The company has recorded huge profits during the last year. The online casino has witnessed an increase in the number of active players. It has increased by 28 % since the last year. Mr. Weigold said that the online casino has sustained the same good financial performance like last year.
