According to a recent survey by the American Gaming Association (AGA), there has been a considerable increase in the number of online gamblers in America. The report comes at a time when there are various talks going on about banning online casinos and online gambling in America. The average American online casino gambler is a male, below forty years of age and with a proper college education. Over 70% of the survey participants said that they had started gambling only recently about two years ago. The major reason for people opting for online casinos was their convenience.

The online gambling industry is growing a very good pace with revenues of over $12 billion during the last year. Almost half of the revenue comes from U.S. citizens. Although there has been an increase in the number of online gamblers and casino goers, there has also been an increase in the number of people who are against online gambling and casinos.
